We all have an operator mindset and like to build amazing stuff, not solo but as a team. It doesn't matter if your specialty is marketing or software; we all have an entrepreneurial mindset and love to take on challenges together. Our team knows what success looks like and builds infrastructure to reach goals as efficiently as possible.

Diverse, equitable, and inclusive


Our goal is to shape a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive future for our studio and ventures. We know that the concept of diversity, equity, and inclusiveness will never be accomplished without action. In other words, this means that we need to continuously work on it to make it happen. The only way to achieve this is by listening to our teams and finding the right way to shape the DEI culture together. After all, it’s all about having whole people who feel supported, included, and empowered at their workplace.

We want to cultivate a universe where everyone can feel a sense of belonging.

In practice, we actively promote DEI within three areas: our team culture, communication, and recruitment. As a multicultural team, we chose to have English as our official studio language. People who share common mother tongues are always welcome to speak their own language. It would neither be inclusive nor diverse if we enforced an anglo-oriented rule. However, at Builders, the nature of inclusiveness is showcased by switching to a language that everyone in the room can understand and converse in, regardless of whether it is English, French, or Dutch.

Empowering


Each of us takes ownership over our objectives and makes operational decisions. This ensures that people are not slowed by the need to wait for others to make approvals. When making operational decisions, everyone is expected to act with core values and strategic objectives in mind.

To put this into practice, each of us has clearly specified measurable personal goals that have to be reached in 3 months periods. Our culture then empowers everyone to develop and propose the best approach on how to effectively reach these goals.

Innovative


Our studio is built upon the idea of constant innovation. Great ideas can come from anyone. We keep challenging existing principles and rules to create something new. We can only accomplish this by fostering a creative environment that continuously embraces creativity and innovation. Each of us is supported and expected to contribute to the team efforts with new ideas on how we could do something better or which new business opportunities we should consider exploring.

We keep improving our processes and ourselves.

At Builders, we aim to build an environment in which critical feedback is not only embraced but expected. Only this way we can keep improving what is already there. As part of our other innovative efforts, we engage each core team member in our idea generation efforts so that we can access a wider knowledge base and gather diverse perspectives.
